Great video, seriously! It shows perfectly the action of autofocusing in the phone. However, what do you mean by hack??? The Nokia N8, with such a great camera, comes with no autofocus??? If this is true…. how do I acquire this hack? Is it too hard to install correctly??

somebody has released a firmware hack. Where they take the current firmware and managed to add a few features to it. It’s always risky using a non nokia firmware and it takes alot of skill to create this feature. If you search the internet for firmware mods for N8, you’ll find it. However…
The N8 camera, unlike Android or iphone doesn’t need autofocus as the focus point is set from a few centimeters to infinite. So everything is already in focus. You could use it as special arty feature to make other objects/scenery out of focus in videos, if you want. So the result will be more blur in videos with it on than with it off.

Well, the back side of the story is that annoying noise from autofocus motor. It’s too loud so i do not using it.

So nokia found out their cameralens is too noisy so they disabled autofocus.

So how about give a better camera that doesnt sound to much?

tight company.
